- A glabrous, perennial, stem less herb, up to 8-20 cm tall, with slender, unbranched roots.
- Plant Description:
- Leaf triangular, obtuse, base truncate. Petiole longer than lamina. Stipules free, dentate. Flower zygomorphic, 5-15mm long, purplish-lilac. Sepals lanceolate, acute, entire. Fruit a capsule, oblong and glabrous.

- March-May.

- Medicinal Value:
- It is useful in fever, cough, headache and sore throat.[5] Locally whole plant decoction is used for treatment of jaundice, flu, headache and stomach disorders.Powder of flower mixed with white lump sugar is an excellent remedy for chronic constipation.
