Annual herb up to 20-40cm tall found in temperate and sub-alpine zones.
Plant Description:
Leaves simple, elliptic, sessile and shinny. Inflorescence a spike, 8-25 cm long.Flower zygomorphic,yellowish-green, tiny. Lateral sepals curved upward. Petals linear, lip erect with thick obscure basal lobes and narrow lanceolate tip. Fruit a capsule.Pseudo bulb ovoid.
Flowering and Fruiting:
July-August.
Harvesting Time:
August-October.
Medicinal Value:
Locally used as body tonic, aphrodisiac and refrigerant, also treats fever.It is useful in sterility,seminal weakness and burning sensation.

Occurrence:
Uncommon.
