A perennial herb found in wood land area of temperate and sub-alpine zones.
Plant Description:
Leaf compound, basal leaves pinnately lobed, the terminal lobe largest. Stem leaves smaller. Inflorescence solitary or in clusters. Flower actinomorphic, yellow, 3-4 cm broad.Sepals-5. Petals -5. Fruit globose, hairy. Seed hooked.
Flowering and Fruiting:
March-June.
Harvesting Time:
May-September.
Medicinal Value:
This plant is quinine substitute, treats fever. [10] Locally used in diarrhea, inflammation, hemorrhoids and stomach problems.

Whole plant.
Occurrence:
Common at high altitudes.
