- Stem twining with tuberous root. Leaves compound ovate to orbicular in outline, palemately divided into 5-lobes.Lobes lanceolate,ovate-lanceolate,ovate-elliptic,3-10cm long.Inflorescence 1- few cymes.Flower actinomorphic, purple. Sepals ovate,obtuse. Corolla funnel- shaped. Fruit a capsule,subglobose,1-012mm long, black.Root tuberous.
