A prostrate annual herb commonly found in sub-tropical and temperate zones.
Plant Description:
Leaves simple, ovate-lanceolate to oblong,hastate. Inflorescence axillary. Flower bell-shaped ,pale pink – lialic. Fruit a capsule, 4seeded.Seed dark brown.
Flowering and Fruiting:
March-July.
Harvesting Time:
April- September.
Medicinal Value:
Locally used as purgative, blood purifier with black pepper. Poultice is used for inflammation reduction.

Whole plant.
Occurrence:
Common.
