Plant Description:
Stem with spreading branches. Leaves simple, sessile, ovate-lanceolate, opposite, margin entire. Inflorescence axillary cymes. Flower bracteate, bisexual, orange-red to bright red in clusters of 3-17. Fruit a capsule, elliptic.

March-May.
Harvesting Time:
June- September.
Medicinal Value:
Locally flower powder is used for healing wounds and ulcers. It has astringent properties, used to control heavy menstruation and hemorrhoids.
