Habit and Habitat:
A perennial herb up to 60-150cm tall, found in temperate zone.
Taxonomic Features:
Stem angled. Leaves simple, lanceolate to ovate, heart shaped at base, margin serrate, whole plant with stinging hairs. Inflorescence racemes of axillary cymes. Flower pale-greenish or whitish. Fruit an achene, ovoid-ellipsoid, greenish brown.
Flowering and Fruiting:
March-November.
Harvesting Time:
July-October.
Medicinal Value:
It has diuretic, cleaning and anti-inflammatory properties. [5] Root reduces prostate inflammation, also useful in hay fever, arthritis, cystitis, anemia,gout and clears uric acid from body. [9]

Leaf, root and seed.
Occurrence:
Uncommon.
