- Habit and Habitat:
- A perennial herb up to 1-1.5 m tall found in sub-alpine and alpine zones.
- Taxonomic Features:
- Leaves simple, round-heart shaped, deeply divided into 5-9 lobes. Lobes coarsely toothed. Inflorescence composed of branched racemes, 15-30 cm long. Flower zygomorphic, dull purple or pale yellow. Sepals-5 resemble with petal, upper one hood-like. Hood prominent. Fruit a follicle.
