- A shrub up to 3m tall, found in temperate zone.
- Taxonomic Features:
- Leaves simple,ovate-suborbicular,margin lobes round, hairy on under side. Inflorescence terminal corymbs. Flower actinomorphic white appear before leaves. Fruit a drupe, oblong, reddish-black on ripening.

- April-May.

- June-October.

- Vitamin C rich fruit is edible. It is useful in hemorrhage also controls and regulates menstruation cycle (menorrhagia and metorrhagia). Hepatic & digestive disorder
